Vibrancy throughout public and private properties has been a strategic focus for Downtown Cedar Rapids for the past several years. Since 2019, six new murals have been added throughout the district, with a bevy of new projects in the pipeline. Unique, eclectic, and celebratory public art is a common theme throughout just about every inviting core district and neighborhood in the world. The Downtown SSMID will continue to work with Murals & More, the Onview Gallery, the City of Cedar Rapids, and other partners to help the core of Cedar Rapids achieve a world class status in the years to come.
