The Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance is proud to bring Market After Dark, on thanks to ImOn, back for 2024. One of Downtown Cedar Rapids’ most popular, free, open-air events, Market After Dark, features a variety of vendors mixed with lively entertainment. This event brings a unique atmosphere to Downtown Cedar Rapids with food, beer, wine, art, entertainment and creative placemaking displays.
Market After Dark will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024. This notice serves as a reminder of street closures affecting Downtown on this date from noon to 1:00 a.m.
Street closures are as follows:
-2nd Ave. SE closed between 1st St. SE and 6th St. SE
-3rd Ave. SE closed between 1st St. SE and 6th St. SE
-4th Ave. SE closed between 2nd St. SE and 6th St. SE
-2nd St. SE closed between 1st Ave. SE and 5th Ave. SE
-3rd St. SE closed between 1st Ave. SE and 5th Ave. SE
-5th St. SE closed between 1st Ave. SE and 5th Ave. SE

No parking zones will be enforced on affected streets beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 24. For alternative parking options downtown, please refer to Park Cedar Rapids’ website at parkcedarrapids.com.
Cars left in the venue after 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 24 will be towed. If your car does get towed, it will be towed to Dara’s Towing at 694 Robins Rd, Hiawatha, IA 52233. Landlords, you’re encouraged to notify your tenants and lessees about this event as soon as possible.
If you own a business within this venue and plan to be open, please notify Economic Alliance staff at your earliest convenience. After July 16, requests to have your storefront unobstructed may not be able to be honored.
