The Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival’s “Celebration of Freedom” is an annual event held on July 4th in downtown Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The festivities commence at 1:00 PM and continue into the evening, culminating in one of the state’s largest fireworks displays. Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy live performances at the McGrath Amphitheatre, a variety of food trucks stationed at the Amphitheatre and along the 3rd Avenue Bridge, and family-friendly activities such as face painting, bounce houses, balloon artists, and trackless train rides. The event is a highlight of the Freedom Festival, which begins in June and features numerous events leading up to Independence Day.
