Living in downtown Cedar Rapids has never been more convenient with a growing variety of restaurants, breweries, bars, and service providers. Two new housing developments are underway (Annex on the Square and Kingston Yards) with several more in the planning stages. Big Grove Brewery and Pickle Palace are slated to open Summer 2023, along with the completion of a highly anticipated ConnectCR project in 2025.
The City of Cedar Rapids has done extraordinary work in recent years making downtown, and all of our core districts, more walkable, connected, and safe for pedestrians and bicyclists. With construction on the $750M flood control system well underway, our urban core will be protected from the next major flood event giving peace of mind to prospective residential and commercial property owners.
