BLOCKtoberfest II defied all odds and ignited downtown Cedar Rapids on Friday September 22.

Running in Place gave a spectacular opening performance, and the overall atmosphere was one to remember. 🎉

🗺 The event venue is located at the 3rd Street and 2nd Avenue blocks downtown (See map for details)
💲 Cost is $5 at the entrance
🥘🍻 Food and drinks will be sold at the venue
⚠ Street closures will begin at 7AM on Friday and end between 12:30-1 AM on Saturday (towing enforced)

Happening this Friday, September 22 is BLOCKtoberfest II! This end-of-summer outdoor concert experience is coming to the 3rd Street and 2nd Avenue block for the second time co-produced by the Downtown Self-Supported Municipal Improvement District and the Fun Not Fancy restaurant group.

From 5-11PM on Friday, popular Midwestern band, the Pork Tornadoes will take center stage after opening act, Running in Place. For a $5 entrance fee, attendees will enjoy live music complemented by delicious food and refreshing beverages for sale. Collectors rejoice, as there will even be an attractive signature beer can made for this event, along with other fun attractions. You won't want to miss it!🤩

For the annual Market After Dark, which took place for the 8th year on Saturday, August 26, there is even more magic added with the presence of every vendor, volunteer, entertainer, and attendee in our district's core. We loved having you all here experiencing the true magic of downtown Cedar Rapids. The 8th annual Market After Dark returns to downto

The 8th annual Market After Dark returns to downtown this Saturday, August 26, from 6:30-11PM. 15 blocks of downtown will be filled with vendors and entertainment for the market, with many downtown businesses activated. Below is the list of all participating downtown establishments, but don't feel shy to pop in to some of your other favorite business downtown that will be open during the market as well. Its going to be a great time see you tomorrow!
