Rebuild Downtown

In June of 2008, downtown Cedar Rapids was devastated by record floods.  Hundreds of businesses and residential homes suffered damage.

The Cedar Rapids Downtown District was and continues to be one of the focal points of flood recovery and rebuilding.  With the realization that the core of our community would never be the same, we intertwined the sense of loss with opportunity for what can be.
