CRDD Action Plan
Our Strategic Focus for 2009.
The Cedar Rapids Downtown District has committed to an action plan, citing six specific goals for 2009. Within each goal is the opportunity for the Downtown District to contribute and take lead on the continued development, thus strengthening the core of our community and our surrounding neighbors. We're proud to call downtown our home, our core, and look forward to taking our initiatives to the next level.
Six Goals within the 2009 Action Plan Include:
1.
Implement JLG Plan
2. Implement recommendations from IDA study
3. Prevent post-flood relocations away from downtown
4. Maintain and extend streetscape
5. Ensure parking capacity and improved parking operations
6. Lead "Rebuild" image campaign

Strategic Focus for 2010.
Annually, we survey downtown business and property owners, and the SSMID and Downtown District board members to review our strategic focus. Click on the link below to see how our stakeholders ranked priorities in 2008 for the 2009 strategic focus, and again this year, to help us determine our 2010 Action Plan.
